Luckily I met Yoko while my students were having fun shopping in Osaka. Yoko and I were "^_^" friends while we were in college. She majored in Economics and I in English Literature. Yoko loves golfing. Can you believe in ^^hole-in-one twice^_^^_^ in your lifetime!
I saw the same deer in the movie called "Stand By Me." I love the deer, especially when it turns around and smiles at me. It happened once in my life, and I was thrilled.

We visited Nara Women's University Secondary School (Nara Jyoshidai Fuzoku ) which I attended from Kindergarten throurgh High School. Nara Women's University in Nara and Ochanomizu Women's University in Tokyo are the oldest women's universities in Japan.
^_^
When I was 15, our school held a "new school song" contest open to all students and faculty. My piece won the first place. Unfortunately mine was not used as promised
but the original melody line remained somehow in the new school song, as I remember. Takebe sensei was my homeroom teacher and a great Chinese literature scholar I do admire.
What he taught us still nicely haunts me when it comes to civilization vs. toilet. ^_^ 武部先生作詞/前田卓央作曲「学友の歌」

Many high school students from various parts of Europe were working. At this school I met "Miss Mora," an American teacher who appeared in my story "Alice in Nara."
I know I was here when I was 3 months old. Yakushi-ji, my
soul place.
I recently found an article written about Yakushiji by my
father.

Gagaku (Japanese Traditional Music) Concert. The head of Mashizu Church invited us to the concert. We were also interviewed by the Dooyuusha that evening...

The sound of Gagaku certainly brings me back to the soul of ancient Japan .Nara is the best place to be.
