I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do when I entered college. But after taking Japanese with Tachibana Sensei, through her I found a love of language. There were times that I thought of giving up, but Tachibana would always say, "So Josh, you're still at Palomar?" It made me kind of embarassed but it helped to drive me to graduate. Tachibana sensei really cares about her students and shows an effort that I've never seen in a teacher before.

I went to Japan with Tachibana sensei when I was 19 and I will never forget that experience. Not many teachers will work so hard as she did. Tachibana Sensei provided an unbelievable experience that I will never forget. I am forever indebted to her for her kindness and the hard work and stress went through in planning such an elaborate trip for so many students to be able to go to Japan. Thank you Tachibana Sensei.
